Anchor activities focus on promoting the well-being of young people (under 18 years of age) and preventing crime at an early stage.
Anchor activities are carried out in a multidisciplinary team that includes experts from the police, social services, health services and youth servicesThe team meets with the young person and their family as early as possible so that the young person can be supported and, if necessary, referred to help or support.

MARAK working group
MARAK stands for Multi-Professional Risk Assessment Method in Domestic Violence Situations
The goal is to identify adult victims of intimate partner violence who are at high risk of becoming a victim of violence again and to improve victim safety by networking with other actors.
In Ikaalis, the Anchor Team operates as a MARAK working group (excluding outreach youth worker and youth counselor).
In the working group, it is possible to draw up a safety plan for a victim of intimate partner violence.
MARAK process
1. Identifying a victim of intimate partner violence
2. Risk assessment (risk assessment form)
3. Referral to the MARAK working group for consideration
4. Gathering information before the meeting
5. MARAK working group meeting and information exchange
6. Action planning and agreement on responsible employees
7. Monitoring
8. Follow-up (possible new discussion in the MARAK working group if violence continues)
