The Kovelahti-Koveranna Village Association organizes village cafes in the village hall Nousula. The village café is a place to meet friends and talk about current topics. Village cafes are announced by email and on Facebook.
The Village Association's book club meets about once a month. We each independently read literature that interests us, which we present to others at the meeting. The presentation does not have to be an extensive presentation or essay, but rather everyone's story and opinion about the book.
Kovelahti knitters gather once a week at the village hall Nousula to knit socks, bibs or baby dresses for a pre-agreed target group. Sometimes they do their own work. Have a good time with crafts and a cup of coffee.
The Nousula Village Hall hosts a 4H multi-purpose club for school-aged children every other Tuesday from 4:30 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. More information From the Ikaalinen 4H website.
The community college gym meets in Nousula on Tuesdays at 18 pm (for more detailed times, see Ikaalinen Community College).
The Kovelahti school ice rink is maintained by volunteers, depending on the weather. Similarly, the Haapaniemi ski slope is also available to villagers in the winter.
A specialty of Kovelahti are Estonian Kiiking swings, which are maintained by the Kovelahti Kiiking Association. Discover the association's Facebook pages!
The Kovelahti singers practice and perform at a variety of events. The singers also organize popular evenings. Check out the atmosphere here: Evenings 2.5.2015 (Youtube video)
