Overview

Kovelahti is a narrow bay that juts out northwest of Lake Kyrösjärvi, over 10 km long. At the end of this naturally beautiful bay is the village of Kovelahti, on the southern shore lies Koveranta and on the northern side Tuhkuri. The intermediate village is located to the west around the Kovesjoki River, against the border of Lake Jämijärvi.

The landscapes of Kovelahti are varied and rich and beautiful in the gentle bay of Kyrösjärvi and the flowing waters of the Kovesjoki River. The villages are lively and vibrant, relying heavily on agriculture. The villages have many organic farmers, as well as milk producers and pig producers. The village club and other active associations organize a variety of activities throughout the year. Kovelahti is known for its evening programs, which are organized in the central location in Nousula, built with the help of villagers. Nousula offers versatile facilities for various parties and gatherings.
