Location information – location -Kolkontie
Our village is located southeast of the city center, 3 roads south of Ikaalis. Follow the sign SARKKILA on the third road.. To the south, our border is Hämeenkyrö. To the east, our border is Vanha-Tampereentie, and we are surrounded by Lake Kyrösjärvi. The distance from the center of Ikaalinen to Sikuri is 4–5 km, and to the foot of Kolko is about 8 km. We are only five kilometers from Tampere and the journey time is less than an hour. Currently, improvements to the triple road under construction will shorten the journey time further to the south.
Kolkontie is maintained and the costs are paid by the city of Ikaalinen. The road is managed by the Kolkontie Road Association, which was organized at the beginning of 2019. Costs outside the maintenance agreement are covered by Sikurin _ Kolkon Village Committee. The road is in good condition for driving all year round and winter maintenance is in progress. The road's name in the private road register is Kolkon tie and its unique access unit code is Y1998-25254. Any current restrictions on the road's use are updated in the national Digiroad file.
The roadbed was repaired, and the pavement was renewed from Laaja House to the TYS intersection in the summer of 2018. The initial section was repaired, the original pavement is over 10 years old, but now the connections work fine.
