Family Vuorihuhta

Hey!

We are the Vuorihuhta family and we live in Ikaalinen, in the Sarkinranta residential area. Our family consists of mother Outi, father Ville and sons Otso and Eino. Ville was born in Ikaalinen and Outi moved here a little over 15 years ago to study and has become a local resident.

Before moving to Sarkkila, we had been looking for a home of our own for a few years in Ikaalinen and nearby municipalities. A few years ago, we found the perfect home for us in Sarkkila. We think Ikaalinen has excellent basic services, beautiful nature, and moderate housing and land prices, and it is not a long journey to nearby municipalities and cities. Both of our workplaces are also nearby. Due to the above-mentioned factors, buying a house here was a pretty natural choice for us.

Our home in Sarkkila is located in a peaceful rural landscape, on the shores of the small and beautiful Sarkkilanjärvi. However, we are only about three kilometers from the center of Ikaalinen. In Sarkkila, we really like the friendly neighborhood, the tranquility of the residential area, and the proximity to nature. At different times of the year, it is nice to watch the nearby nature from the windows of our home – deer, hares, and foxes roam the yard and nearby fields, and in nearby Sarkkilanjärvi, a brood of swans swims every year, to our delight, from summer until late autumn. The best thing about Ikaalinen in our opinion is the magnificent lake landscapes that frame the city almost wherever you go.

As parents of small children, we value the safety of Ikaalinen and the fact that people know each other. As the children grow up, Ikaalinen also has a variety of opportunities for hobbies and new schools. We are both active walkers and cyclists, and there are many varied routes in the region - both in a nice urban landscape and in the more peaceful forest. We also both enjoy going to the gym, and Ikaalinen also has a variety of gyms for all kinds of enthusiasts. Ikaalinen and its magnificent landscapes can also be found in several shots by both of our active photographers.
