Change and expansion of the old Tampereentie town plan

The planning area is located east of the city centre of Ikaalinen in the areas of the Hakala (5), Hakumäki (6) and Läykkälä (7) districts of the city of Ikaalinen. In addition to street, traffic and recreational areas, the planning area includes residential apartment buildings, combined commercial and residential apartment buildings, detached houses and industrial and warehouse buildings.

The aim of the local plan and the local plan amendment is to designate Vanha Tampereentie as a street area between Silkintie and Pirulantie in accordance with the street area boundaries of the valid local plans. In areas without local planning, the street area is designated in accordance with the valid property boundaries.

Other goals of the zoning change include enabling the construction of higher-rise apartment buildings in Block 1 of residential apartment buildings and enabling housing in Block 77 of industrial and warehouse buildings.

A draft road plan has been prepared for the planning area to improve the Ikaalisten Entrance Road (Mt 2595) and Old Tampereentie (Mt13139), with a key part being to improve the safety of pedestrian traffic. According to the draft road plan, three island pedestrian traffic crossings and one new pedestrian traffic route between Silkintie and Pirulantie are planned for Old Tampereentie. Other measures in accordance with the road plan include the construction of a roundabout in accordance with the new driving arrangements at the intersection of Silkintie and Old Tampereentie (separate local plan amendment for the access road).

The planning area will be demarcated in an appropriate manner so that, if necessary, the boundaries of the block and recreational areas located along Old Tampereentie will be revised to comply with the area reservations in the road plan.
