Felling a tree on municipally owned property

Applications and inquiries regarding the felling of trees in city-owned areas are addressed to the city gardener, with whom an appropriate procedure can be agreed upon on a case-by-case basis.

Individual trees to be felled on your own property (in the local plan area)

Submit a free-form tree felling notification for trees on your property by email to the city gardener at the green management department. Add the location of the trees to the map and attach photographs of the trees in question. Tree felling will be approved if the felling of the tree is justified.

In addition, instructions may be given or a plan may be required to plant new vegetation in place of the removed vegetation. Permission may only be granted to the property owner.

Larger tree fellings

Large-scale tree fellings and other logging activities that have a particularly significant impact on the environment generally require a landscape work permit. You can find out about and apply for a landscape work permit here. Building supervision.
