Beaches

The city manages three beaches,
  • Toivolansaari beach (casino beach) at Toivolansaarentie.
  • Toivolansaari camping area beach, Toivolansaarentie 3
  • The Noljostenranta beach.

Regular inspections of the beaches mentioned above are carried out by diving and several water samples are taken during the summer in accordance with EU directives.

Swimming is permitted at other beaches at your own risk.

There are several swimming spots maintained by villagers in the sparsely populated area.

Everyone can do their part to help keep the beach clean and pleasant. Let's have fun and give other beach users the opportunity to do the same!

In the Public Order Act There are regulations regarding public beaches.

The occurrence of algal blooms is difficult to predict and control. The occurrence can vary rapidly, which is why swimmers should always visually assess the condition of the swimming water before going swimming.
