Voting in institutions

Special advance voting locations in Finland include hospitals, 24-hour care facilities and other social welfare units designated by decision of the municipal government (for example, nursing homes, nursing homes and service homes), as well as penal institutions.

The election committee appointed by the municipal government will arrive at each institution in the municipality to conduct the vote on at least one and at most four days falling within the early voting period (March 22-March 28, 2023).

Only persons being treated in or admitted to institutions may vote. Others, such as the institution's staff, do not have the right to vote in the institutional vote.

Institutional voting is conducted in the same way as general advance voting.

The following advance voting stations operate in Ikaalisi as referred to in Section 9, Paragraph 3 of the Election Act:

1. Hope Island Home
2. Jyllini Homes
3. Inpatient department of the health center
4. Kotipihlaja, rental terraced houses for the elderly
5. Esperi Nursing Home Luhalahti
6. Nikula, Tevaniemi Activity Center
