How to participate in Ikaalinen City procurement

The City of Ikaalinen annually procures a wide range of products and services from companies. The procurements comply with procurement legislation and the City's own procurement principles. The goal is an open, fair and transparent procurement process.

Where do you find the purchases?

Public procurement can be found in several different channels, and following them will help your company stay ahead of the competition.

Larger procurements are published in Hilma, the official notification channel for public procurement. Procurements that appear in Hilma exceed national or EU thresholds.

Smaller purchases – which are the largest in terms of quantity – are put out to tender in other channels or directly from suppliers. That is why it is important that your company's contact information is easy to find. Small purchases refer to public procurements whose value is below national thresholds. They are typically fast and agile purchasing needs, which emphasize easy findability, clear contact information and active monitoring of entrepreneurs.

Small procurement offers local businesses a low-threshold opportunity to participate in city procurement.

How does your company get involved in procurement?
