Museum grants 2026

In accordance with the decision of the City Council, an additional resource of 9500 euros has been transferred from state heritage to cultural grants. The aim of the grant is to support museums located in Ikaalinen. The grant will be available for use immediately after the decisions and will be available during 2026.

Grants were available for application from April 1 to 22, 2026. 3 applications were received by the deadline. 

The Education Committee decided at its meeting on May 21, 2026, to award grants to the following applicants:

1. Ikaalinen-Society association. €3166,66
– for renovation of facilities and museum signage

2. Ikaalinen Region Vehicle Enthusiasts Association. €3166,66
– To obtain information displays

3. Finnish Accordion Institute Support Association. €3166,66
– for building a reduced museum-themed exhibition

Grants are paid in accordance with the budget implementation instructions. The grant must be used repeatedly and regularly in accordance with the grant criteria for an open
museum activities. The recipient of the grant must notify the Communications and Culture Coordinator immediately if they do not accept the grant. The grant amount will be available by the end of 2026. The use of the grant must be reported to the Communications and Culture Coordinator by 31 March 2027. The report must include a statement on the use of the grant, the implementation of the activities and the number of visitors.
