The Pirkanmaa reading diploma for comprehensive school students has been renewed! ✨✨✨ Previously, there were separate lists for each grade, now the lists for grades 1–2, 3–4, 5–6 and 7–9 have been combined. Although the number of lists has decreased, the current lists are more comprehensive and suitable for readers of many levels.

The method of completing the reading diploma has also been revised, as there are now three levels of diplomas: A minimum of 6 books are required for the bronze diploma, a minimum of 10 books for the silver diploma, and a minimum of 15 books for the gold diploma.

Some school classes complete a reading diploma, but you can of course get reading tips from book lists too!🤓

Who do you think deserves the 2026 Reading of the Year award? Respond and make a difference!

The libraries of Pirkanmaa will award the Reading Act of the Year award on PIKI Day on September 24.9. The award can be given to any entity outside the municipality that has done important work to promote reading in Pirkanmaa, either in the current year or in the long term.

The award recipients are decided based on customer suggestions. The final selections are made by the PIKI Libraries management team.

Leave your suggestion in the online library at piki.fi or click on the link in the comment to go directly to the suggestion form! Paper voting forms are available from the library.

Voting has started today, August 5.8th, and will end on Wednesday, August 26.8th at 15 pm.
