Early childhood education in Ikaalinen

Early childhood education is organised in daycare centres, group family daycare centres and family daycare centres in accordance with the Early Childhood Education Act. In Ikaalinen, shift care is provided in the evenings and weekends at the Valkean ruusun daycare centre. When a child moves from one type of activity to another or changes early childhood education unit within their own municipality, close cooperation is carried out so that we can ensure the child has the most healthy growth and learning path possible.

The vision of Ikaalinen early childhood education is to raise healthy, playful, open and self-confident children together with their guardians. Pedagogical everyday life in a safe learning environment is realized through, for example, small group activities, play and the presence of adults, taking into account the children's individual support needs.

In addition to the principles of the national early childhood education plan, the Ikaalinen early childhood education values ​​emphasize community and natural values.

Community spirit is seen as working together, tolerance, valuing diversity and respecting others. Ikaalinen early childhood education emphasizes the strengths of children and staff, noticing good and encouraging others.

Natural valuesare emphasized in Ikaalinen, where exceptionally beautiful nature is located close to all early childhood education units. Early childhood education utilizes lakes, forests, parks and other possible natural sites as a learning environment. Together with the children, a positive relationship with nature is built.
