Organizing morning and afternoon activities

Kilvakkala School will organize morning and afternoon activities in the 2025–2026 school year. Activities will take place on the school premises under the supervision of school counselors. Morning activities will be organized daily from 8:00 to 9:00 and afternoon activities from 1:00 to 4:30 p.m. If a preschooler needs care before 8:00, it will be organized at Kilvakkala Daycare. For this, a daycare application must be filled out. It is no longer possible to organize care for schoolchildren after 4:30 p.m. or before 8:00 a.m.

The insurance policies taken out by the city of Ikaalinen cover students participating in morning and afternoon activities. The activities are intended for students in preschool and grades 1-2, as well as all students following an individual curriculum. Students in other grades are only accepted into groups if there is space.

Day

The Päikky system is used in morning and afternoon activities. Guardians will receive instructions for creating user accounts by letter when their child is accepted for morning and afternoon activities. The letter will contain the accounts as well as instructions for using the service.

Treatment times are booked through Päiky. Simply notifying the instructors is not enough. Treatment times must be booked a good week before the treatment date. So by Sunday evening of week 33, treatment times for week 35 are booked.

The instructors register the children when they enter and leave the treatment center.

Invoicing is done directly based on the information in the Päikky program.
