The rules of order

The purpose and application of the order rules

School time includes the scheduled school day, school meals, breaks, school-organized excursions, camp schools, sports days, parties and other events, as well as a 15-minute break before and after the scheduled school day.

School grounds are considered to include school buildings and grounds, as well as other facilities and places where instruction is provided. A map of the school grounds is attached to the rules of order.

Student rights

• Every student has the right to participate safely in education.

• Every student has the right to equal and fair treatment.

• Every student has the right to participate in the activities and development of the school and to express their opinions.

• Every student has the right to study care and learning support.

• Every student has the right to a free meal.

• Every student has the right to the interpretation and assistance services and aids required to participate in education.

• Every student has the right to free accident treatment.

• Every student has the right to school transportation if the conditions are met.

 

Student's responsibilities

• Every student has the obligation to participate in the teaching according to the curriculum and to carefully complete the tasks assigned by the teacher during school hours and homework during free time.

• Our school operates with the safety of ourselves and others in mind and by following the teacher's instructions. • Every staff member and student behaves kindly, fairly and respectfully towards all students and school staff.

• Each student takes others into consideration, uses appropriate language and follows good manners, and allows others to study and work in peace.

• You must not hit, kick, curse or say mean things to others.

• No one in our school bullies or discriminates against others. If you are being bullied or notice bullying, tell an adult at school, such as a teacher, school counselor, student instructor, school attendance counselor or principal.

 

Decorum

• Good manners are observed at school, others are taken into account and instructions are followed.

• Students should dress in a way that allows them to participate safely in the lesson. The teacher will provide more detailed instructions on how to dress for different learning situations, taking safety and hygiene into account.

• Text or images may not be copied into student work without permission and without indicating the source. Artificial intelligence may not be used in student work without the teacher's permission.

• You must arrive on time for classes.

• It is not recommended to bring toys or other items to school that are not needed during the school day.

• If you bring toys or sports equipment to school, they must be stored in a backpack or on a hanger and can be used during the school day with the teacher's permission.

 

Staying and moving around

• Students must spend recess in the recess area and follow the instructions given by the recess supervisor.

• A student may not leave the school grounds during the school day without permission from a teacher or other school adult.

 

Caring for cleanliness and the environment

• Each student takes responsibility for the environment and the cleanliness of the school and the school yard.

• Every student must take good care of school property and learning materials.

• Students must take off their shoes in the hallway.

 • Outerwear should be stored on a hanger.

 

Safety

• For safety reasons, mopeds, bicycles and scooters must be left in the designated places in the yard during the school day. Bicycle helmets are required on school trips.

• It is not allowed to throw snowballs or stones in the school yard.

• The school corridors are walked.

 

Substances and dangerous objects

• Possession and use of tobacco products, e-cigarettes and intoxicants is prohibited.

• Bladed weapons, fireworks, or other dangerous objects or objects designed to harm others or property are not allowed to be brought to school.

 

Energy drinks, soft drinks, sweets and other treats

• Lunches may be eaten with the teacher's permission at the time and place indicated by the teacher.

• Chewing gum is not allowed during school hours.  

• Energy drinks are not allowed to be brought to school. Soft drinks, candies, etc. can only be brought with the teacher's permission.

 

Educational measures, disciplinary measures, security measures and other sanctions

• Failure to follow the recommendations can be discussed with the student and the guardian can be contacted.

• If a student behaves inappropriately, he or she may be assigned to a disciplinary meeting. If the inappropriate behavior continues after the meeting or is more serious, the student may be assigned to detention. If the behavior does not change after this or is serious, the student may be given a written warning. The student may also be suspended for a fixed period if the student's behavior is very serious.

• If a student disrupts instruction or another school event, he or she may be ordered to leave the premises. If the disruption is unreasonable or the student threatens the safety of others, his or her instruction may be suspended for the remainder of the school day and the following school day.

• A prohibited object or substance, or an object or substance with which a student disrupts teaching or learning, may be seized or the student's belongings, school storage facilities under the student's control, and, in particular, his or her clothing, may be inspected in order to seize a prohibited object or substance that may endanger the safety of oneself or another, if possession of such an object or substance is obvious and the student, despite a request, refuses to hand them over or does not reliably demonstrate that he or she does not have them in his or her possession.

• Neglecting homework may result in assignments being assigned after the workday.

• A student may be ordered to clean or reorganize school property that he or she has soiled or disordered intentionally or through negligence (cleaning obligation)

 

Using and storing your phone and other mobile devices

• Phones or other mobile devices may not be used during class, except for use with the teacher's permission for learning purposes or with the permission of the principal or teacher for personal health care.

• Phones and other mobile devices are kept in the student's school bag during class.

• Telephones and other mobile devices are kept in a distraction-free environment.

• Phones and other mobile devices may be used during class with the teacher's permission.

• Phones and other mobile devices are kept in the student's school bag during recess, meals, and transitions.

• The use of the telephone is prohibited during meals, parties or other events.

For unauthorized use of the device, the teacher or principal will confiscate the device for the duration of the school day.

The use of phones is prohibited on school premises and in the school yard until 15.15:XNUMX on school days.

 

 Monitoring and reviewing the rules of procedure

• These rules have been developed together with the entire school staff, students and guardians. The entire school staff and students commit to following these rules and to jointly promote a safe and enjoyable school day. Guardians support the school's students in following the school rules and having a safe and enjoyable school day.

• These rules of procedure are valid from 1 August 2025.

• The rules of conduct are available on the school website and on the notice board. The rules of conduct are discussed with the students each academic year and guardians are informed about them. The rules of conduct are reviewed regularly.
