KoVa Ry

KoVa Ry is an association of schools and parents.

The board is made up of guardians of the school's students who have registered to participate in the activities.

In addition to guardians, the meetings are attended by a school representative (usually the principal) and student representative(s), as well as, if possible, the teacher guiding the student body.

The meetings are informal and open to all guardians of students at the school. 

The goal is to facilitate smooth communication between school and home, which increases opportunities for influence and makes school practices familiar. The association supports the school in its teaching and educational work, for example by holding photography competitions, organizing programs or purchases for students, or in any other way desired by the school/students.

The activities are formed according to how the members of the association are interested in working. There are usually about 4-6 meetings during the academic year and also fundraising activities. The tradition has been some fundraising event, such as sales and raffles, the proceeds of which are used to pay for scholarships awarded by the association and purchases can be made for students.

Because KoVa ry is a registered association, it must elect a chairman, vice-chairman, secretary and board members from among its members at the organizational meeting. The annual meeting is always held in September. There is no need to be afraid of being elected, as the small and cozy association does not overwork anyone. We do what we decide and what we are excited about together. We can cherish traditions and create new ones!

So anyone with a child in middle school is welcome to join. It doesn't matter if you can only come sometimes. It's nice to hear new thoughts and ideas.
