Villages across municipal borders - project in the villages of Ikaalinen
Smart villages are communities that harness local strengths and resources into solutions,
which ensure opportunities for a good life in villages.
The development of Ikaalinen has been launched in cooperation between the City of Ikaalinen and Tampere University of Applied Sciences.
with a development project lasting until summer 2027 called Villages across municipal borders (Kylät yli kuntarajojen).
The common thread running through development is partnership: cooperation with the municipality, villages and other actors in the region.
The project works to develop rural living, housing and working opportunities.
