School meals

Students eat in the cafeteria located on the ground floor of the school, which can accommodate 100 students at a time. Meals are served in two shifts according to the school schedule between 10:30 and 12:00. Students take the amount of food they want from the serving line. School meals should meet 1/3 of a child's daily nutritional needs. In addition, the task of school meals is to educate students in good eating habits and healthy eating habits.

Snack

The Ikaalinen City Food Service sells snacks from the school kitchen during the agreed break. Snacks are an important part of the diet of growing children and young people. Snacks offer a variety of healthy snacks, such as cottage cheese/yogurt, porridge, kiisseli, bread, Karelian pie, cold cuts, vegetables and fruit.

A pass or a single snack can be purchased from the kitchen (dining room) with a bank card or the pass can be paid for in an online bank to the account of the City of Ikaalinen.

After the payment transaction, a receipt is printed or sent electronically to the student's mobile device. The student comes to the school snack point with the payment receipt and receives a snack pass corresponding to the receipt.

The student's name and date of purchase are written on the snack pass.

The snack pass is a means of payment for the purchase of a snack and a check is placed in the grid according to the snack purchased. The snack pass is valid until 2024.
