The Municipal Act provides for the municipal financial statements, consolidated financial statements, annual report and the disclosure obligations of subsidiaries.

The municipality's financial year is the calendar year (January 1.1–December 31.12).

 

The municipal government's task is to prepare the financial statements for the previous financial year by the end of March and submit them to the auditors for review.

 

Auditors must review the financial statements by the end of May.

After the audit, the municipal government will submit the financial statements to the council for consideration. The council must consider and approve the financial statements by the end of June at the latest.
