The Human Part is a warm-hearted dramatic comedy about the surprising rapprochement of a estranged family. The film's main character is the penniless Pekka Malmikunnas (Hannu-Pekka Björkman), who has gone bankrupt and is penniless, and who – in his own opinion, cleverly – convinces his parents (Leena Uotila, Asko Sarkola) and adult sisters (Ria Kataja, Armi Toivanen) that he is still a successful CEO. However, the sharp-tongued Kimmo Hienlahti (Kari Hietalahti), an even worse con artist than Pekka, enters the picture, causing Pekka to realize the impossibility of his own situation. But what is the solution when telling the truth to those close to him feels even more difficult?
