Anneli Kanto will be a guest author at Rahkola's Park Philosophy Week. Kanno's latest novel, The Saint of the Rats, which tells the story of the 1500th-century painting of the Church of the Holy Cross in Hattula, has received much praise not only for its skillfully constructed plot and historical description, but also for its lively language and humor. The work has been awarded, among others, the Kiitos kirjasta medal and the Väinö Linna prize.

In his lecture, Kanto will reflect on, among other things, what he learned about medieval thinking, were medieval church painters artists or craftsmen, and what was the purpose of the paintings?

Welcome to enjoy an interesting topic and the beautiful courtyard of Rahkola. In case of rain, we will gather in the Rahkola community center.

The event is organized by the Finnish Park Philosophy Association and Ikaalinen City Library, in collaboration with Rahkola Summer and Europe Direct Pohjois-Satakunta.
