Soppasunnuntai is built for Ikaali residents through collaboration

Organizational activities in Ikaali are active and a good spirit of cooperation creates new forms of activity by listening to the wishes and needs of the residents.
Soppasunnuntai, which originated from the idea of ​​Pro Ikaalinen operators, is a new kind of gem of big-hearted and joyful cooperation. The core idea is to bring the opportunity for a shared moment, around a shared table, in a time when, among others, families with children, students, the unemployed and the elderly are facing challenges. The Kauppala Christmas people, Kyrösjärven Seudun Vesaiset and Yhtenä ry have joined in the joint table event and the making of Soppasunnuntai. The event on Sunday, January 25.1th is supported in cooperation by K-Supermarket Komppi, Moision Kotipakari Oy and the City of Ikaalinen. The soup is cooked from Finnish ingredients by volunteers and coffee is also made on top. Soppasunnuntai is an open and free gathering moment, soup is available from 12 to 14 p.m., or as long as it lasts. Kyrösjärvi Region Vesainen will provide board games to Rahkola on Sunday, which visitors can play together.
Founded in 2025, Pro Ikaalinen and its partners encourage you to join in, both for the fun and to come up with ideas and to volunteer at future good-hearted events. It is a joy to cultivate good deeds and kindness together, and Ikaalis has a long, well-deserved tradition in this.
