Government mail will become mainly electronic for those using digital services.

The City of Ikaalinen's schedule for switching to electronic official mail will be announced later.

The Finnish Digital and Population Information Agency will organize webinars for citizens in April on the transition to digital official mail.

There are two events in Finnish, one in Swedish and one in English.

The Finnish-language webinar, which will be held on April 9.4, can be followed via Yle Areena. The recording will be available for viewing on Yle Areena for 30 days.

The webinar will cover the basics of change:

  • how mail sent by authorities changes,
  • what does change mean,
  • when the change will occur,
  • who the change affects,
  • How can I go back to paper mail if necessary?

It is also possible to ask questions during the webinar. A link to join the webinar will be sent to those who have registered closer to the event. The webinar will be recorded and a link to the recording will be sent to participants.
