NETWORKING POWER COLLABORATION PROJECT
– A more attractive countryside through the cooperation of nine municipalities
A new type of cooperation project is underway in the Leader North Satakunta operational area with the support of 9 municipalities. The measures of the Networking Attraction project promote attractive and sustainable living conditions in the municipalities located in the North Satakunta and Pirkanmaa regions in cooperation with the municipalities and entrepreneurs in the region. Merikarvia, Siikainen, Pomarkku, Karvia, Kankaanpää and Jämijärvi from Satakunta and Kihniö, Parkano and from Pirkanmaa have committed to the project. Ikaalinen.
The project's measures focus on developing retention and attraction through a variety of means, so that those who dream of moving to the countryside can find a home, work in the countryside and settle naturally in the municipality. It is equally important that current residents remain in the area. The project responds to these challenges by, among other things, developing remote workspaces, improving settlement services for migrants, mapping and marketing empty apartments, as well as launching village sponsorship activities and sharing local stories. We also work with companies to make workplace videos aimed at young people so that young people become familiar with the job opportunities in the area.
The project is co-financed by the European Rural Development Fund. The project period is 1.1.2024-30.6.2026.
