How to enable Suomi.fi messages
During 2026, Suomi.fi messages will be available to you when you log in to an official online service, such as MyTax.

Stopping the use of Suomi.fi messages

This is how you stop using Suomi.fi messages:
- Identify yourself in the Suomi.fi online service On the Messages pageOpens in a new window. or log in to the mobile app.
- Select Settings.
- In the settings, find Message delivery method and press the Withdraw consent button.
- Confirm the change by pressing the Cancel consent button again in the view that opens.
- You have stopped using Suomi.fi messages. Messages will be delivered to you by paper mail in the future.
If you only delete the Suomi.fi application from your mobile device, Suomi.fi messages will not be removed from your device. Always stop using Messages as instructed above.
Once you have stopped using Suomi.fi messages, you will no longer receive new messages in Suomi.fi messages. You will still see old messages in your Inbox and Sent folders, but you will not be able to reply to messages or send new messages.
