The family package includes a city-issued 150 euro gift card, which can be used at businesses in Ikalai. In addition, the package includes products, benefits and surprises donated by local businesses.

2. Ikaalinen-passport

IkaalinenThe pass offers young people studying in Ikaalisti benefits and discounts at local businesses.

The passport can be obtained by:

• students studying in the second level who are enrolled in Ikaalis
• students whose studies last at least one academic year

3. Rental relief for out-of-town students and employees

The City of Ikaalinen wants to facilitate the recruitment of students, employees and companies by offering rent relief in rental apartments owned by the city or the city's group companies.

1. Students coming for internships

The City of Ikaalinen supports the housing of students from outside the city who come to do an internship at an Ikaalinen company by replacing 50% of rental costs in a rental apartment owned by the city or a city group company. Rental apartments are brokered by Ikaalisten Kiinteistökonsultit Oy and Kiinteistöjuridia Oy.

How to find an apartment

1. Check out the available apartments.
2. Ask your employer for a certificate of internship.
3.  Report your need for an apartment and reserve a rental apartment from the quota from Ikaalinen Kiinteistökonsultei, tel. 03 457 220 or Kiinteistöjuridia, 03 212 5142, who will suggest available apartments. You can also apply for an apartment from the Kiinteistökonsultei using an electronic apartment application.
4. A rental agreement is normally made with the landlord.

2. New employees, summer workers and interns

The City of Ikaalinen supports the housing of people coming to work for a company in Ikaalinen from outside the city by reimbursing 50% of the rent for the first three months in a rental apartment owned by the city or a city group company.

Rental terms and conditions

• The rent reduction is valid for three months.
• A rental agreement is normally made with the landlord.
• After this, the lease agreement can continue at the normal rent.
• At least one person moving into the apartment must have a valid employment contract with a company in Ikaali.
• The tenant pays one month's rental deposit, electricity, water, and any fiber optic connection.

5. IDEA-Startti – an entrepreneurial house for students

Try your business idea in practice

IDEA-Startti offers students the opportunity to develop their business idea, try entrepreneurship in practice, and work in a genuine entrepreneurial environment.

The activities will be located in the city-owned entrepreneur's house at the following address:

Industrial Building 3, Ikaalinen

Students have a total of approximately 200 m² of office space at their disposal.

Here's how you can get involved

A rental agreement is made for each student with the following terms:

• first 6 months free of charge
• next 6 months €50 + VAT / month

In addition, the student is responsible for:

• electricity according to consumption
• water according to consumption
• insuring the premises at their own expense

The rental deposit is 338 euros / student.
