Summer Job Voucher

The Municipality of Ikaalinen will offer summer job vouchers for young people during the summer months of 2026

Summer job voucher conditions:

The summer job voucher is de minimis support.

• monitor the total amount of de minimis aid they have received
• ensure that the total amount of subsidies does not exceed 300,000 euros over three years
• When applying for support, declare any de minimis aid received in the last three years

The City of Ikaalinen will grant a grant of €400 to the first 15 people who have successfully completed their summer work voucher application by May 31, 2026.

– a Finnish company or entity that

– employ someone who is registered in Ikaali for summer work

– a secondary or higher education student

– for at least 1 month

A maximum of 2 grants will be awarded per employer/organization.

Granting the grant requires that copies of the pay slip (the employer takes care of statutory ancillary salary expenses, which are paid on top of the basic salary and must also be shown on the pay slip or a separate receipt) and the employment contract be sent to the City of Ikaalinen by August 31, 2026, as well as that the summer work conditions are met.

The salary paid to a young employee is usually stated in the collective agreement for the sector in question. 

The granted grant will be paid to the account specified by the employer by September 30, 2026, if the conditions are met.

The grant will not be granted if:

– it is about unpaid internship or if per month the gross salary payable is less than €1,000.
